Compare spot interfaces and complete costs
Simple purchases, order books, funding routes and the amount that reaches your destination.
Choose an interface before comparing a percentage. A simple buy quote can contain a spread; an order-book fee is only one part of the transaction. This section covers spot assets, separate from event contracts or leverage.
Simple quote or order book?
An easy purchase interface and a Pro/Advanced interface may belong to the same company but have different fees and controls.
| Product | Execution basis | Useful next comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Kraken Pro | Dated volume-tier maker/taker schedule; base 0.4% / 0.8% | Pair with Coinbase Advanced quote |
| Coinbase Advanced | Account-specific fee tier displayed before order | Supply your actual quote; no assumed universal rate |
| Gemini ActiveTrader | Base maker 0.6% / taker 1.2% at review | Match tier and funding route |
| Crypto.com App | Final purchase quote and units received | Do not substitute Exchange pricing |
Compare larger transaction costs
A small percentage difference becomes a larger dollar amount at higher size, but liquidity and order-size limits can invalidate a simple multiplication. $10,000 and $100,000 are illustrations, not spending recommendations.
| Assumption | Effect on $10,000 | Effect on $100,000 |
|---|---|---|
| 0.1 percentage point in fees | $10 | $100 |
| 0.5% hypothetical spread | $50 | $500 |
| Fixed $4 withdrawal | $4 | $4 |
Funding speed is not withdrawal availability
Deposit arrival, trading availability and withdrawal release are separate clocks. A free ACH route may create a hold; a bank wire may have external charges.
| Action | Compare |
|---|---|
| Fund | Supported currency, rail, minimum, provider and bank charge |
| Trade | Cleared funds, order size, spread and fill depth |
| Withdraw | Bank or network, fee, minimum, hold and recipient units |

Kraken vs Coinbase: compare the spot products
Kraken publishes a numeric Pro schedule. Coinbase Advanced directs customers to their account-specific fee tier. Simple purchase pricing works differently on both.
Gemini vs Coinbase: spot costs and account workflows
Compare Gemini ActiveTrader with Coinbase Advanced, and keep simple-purchase charges separate from order-book trading.
Crypto.com App vs Coinbase: compare the final spot quote
Two simple-purchase workflows need a quoted-price comparison. Exchange and Advanced schedules answer a different question.
Coinbase fees: simple buys, Advanced and withdrawals
Simple purchases include spread and quoted fees. Advanced uses an order book and account-specific tiers. Network sends and cash movements add separate costs.
Kraken fees: instant purchases versus Pro spot
The reviewed schedule lists instant trading fees, Pro tiers, spread and funding separately. Here is how to put them on the same basis.
Crypto.com App: buying, funding and product boundaries
The App, Exchange, card and other Crypto.com products have separate workflows and costs. A single brand does not make their pricing interchangeable.
Kraken spot: interfaces, cash funding and limits
Instant purchase and Pro spot have different pricing. Compare the published execution rate with the funding route and withdrawal hold.
Coinbase spot: simple purchases and Advanced
Choose the interface before interpreting a quoted fee or spread. Payment capabilities and network-send charges remain separate.
Gemini spot: ActiveTrader and transfer costs
An explicit ActiveTrader tier table helps distinguish execution cost from bank, card and network transfers.
Compare spot fees with Cost Lens
Compare execution, spread, funding and withdrawals for the same spot trade. Source presets and your assumptions stay clearly labelled.
Kraken vs Kraken Pro: choose the spot interface
A simple purchase quote and a configurable order book solve different tasks. Compare the account relationship, controls and complete cost, keeping derivatives outside this spot decision.
