Our research methodology

Compare the same product, state the assumptions and show the source.

Product identity first

A brand can offer several products with different fees, account structures and access. We separate Polymarket US from its international product, spot from derivatives, and tax software from event-contract tax advice. A shared name is not evidence of interchangeable terms.

What the evidence supports

Sources and review dates appear with each guide. Published prices are dated observations; an order-specific quote can differ. We inspect primary documentation and public workflows, and explicitly identify untested private accounts, alerts or paid performance. We do not assign invented star ratings or reproduce merchant profit claims as our findings.

Costs on a comparable basis

We normalise trade quantity, payout units and price before comparing a fee. Maker/taker treatment, rounding, funding, spread, exit and withdrawal can change the result. Worked examples identify whether an amount is sourced, hypothetical or supplied by the reader. Gross payout is kept separate from net profit and possible loss.

Updates and corrections

Fee guides are reviewed against the current schedule and after provider notices. Event material carries its own date; old briefings remain visibly archived rather than appearing newly published. An event date is not a promise of contract settlement at that time. Substantive changes should identify the affected claim and source.
