Next on the calendar: the October FOMC meeting

The Federal Reserve lists October 27–28 for its next meeting and December 8–9 for the final scheduled meeting of 2026. A calendar date is not a rate forecast.

The official FOMC calendar is the source for these meeting dates. The December meeting is marked for a Summary of Economic Projections. The October meeting is a two-day scheduled meeting, not a published probability of any policy outcome.

When reading a rate contract, distinguish a change at the next meeting from the level of a target bound afterward or the number of changes across a year. The observation window and resolution source determine the claim. No live rate-cut probability is shown here.

US fees: read the October 19 schedule in its own product

Polymarket US’s standard taker coefficient is 0.0695 in its October 19 schedule; Table Tennis, combos and rebate tiers have separate treatment.

The directly reviewed US document gives the standard formula as coefficient × contracts × price × (1 − price). A 100-contract fill at $0.50 gives $1.7375 before collection, or $1.74 under its half-even cent-rounding rule.

That is a US document, not the international product’s category schedule. Comparing a US entry quote with international fees or liquidity mixes different products. Funding, spread, later exits and eligibility still affect the reader’s actual situation.

Novig: live games and futures need different fee checks

Novig v3 distinguishes WHEN_LIVE from ALWAYS schedules and one-cent payout units. Its documented maker-credit changes took effect October 22.

The v3 document lists a 0.06 taker coefficient, with game markets charged when live and specified futures charged in every phase. Its quantity unit pays one cent: 10,000 units at probability 0.50 have $50 entry notional and a $1.50 fee when the schedule charges.

The maker-credit share listed from October 22 is 25% for game markets and 50% for the documented futures schedule. Those credits are not the same as no taker fee. Separate RFQ terms and exceptional grading rules should not be inferred from the game example.
