What this demonstrates
Koinly's short walkthrough of connecting Binance.US with read-only tax API keys, the data that route misses, and the CSV transaction-report alternative.
- An on-screen warning says the Binance.US API does not supply fiat purchases or some boost-event rewards, so those must be added manually (about 0:42 to 0:57).
- Read-only keys come from Binance.US's export-reports page under the account menu, using the tax API option, after a two-factor and email check (about 1:01 to 1:31).
- The CSV route uses the transaction-report format and is repeated for every past year to cover the full history (about 1:36 to 2:04).
- After importing, the presenter checks staking tags and reviews unclassified deposits and withdrawals before opening the reports (about 2:12 to 2:33).
Apply it to your task
- Note any fiat purchases or boost rewards if you use the API route.
- Export a transaction report for every year you used Binance.US.
- Clear unclassified deposits and withdrawals before reading the tax summary.
