Assymetrix Data API: tiers, coverage and data rights

A developer-oriented unified prediction-market API. Compare request quotas, history and licence scope before building around a feed.

What the developer product advertises

The public portal lists unified metadata, historical market data, order-book snapshots, OHLCV and streaming products across named prediction venues including Kalshi, Polymarket and Limitless. It is an API for building a data workflow rather than a place to fund and trade an event contract.

The site’s speed, uptime and historical-depth statements are vendor claims. We did not benchmark paid endpoints, verify its entire upstream rights chain or assume that similarly named cross-venue markets share the same settlement definition.

Published tiers and practical capacity

The versioned API plan table below separates monthly request allowance, per-second rate and history/endpoint scope. Those gates are independent: enough monthly capacity does not make a 200-request/second workload fit a 25-request/second limit. No paid endpoint, uptime or latency benchmark was performed.

Commercial display is not raw-feed resale

The reviewed terms allow tier-appropriate applications and display but prohibit standalone raw-data resale, API pass-through, competing data aggregation and mirroring beyond permitted caching. Public displays require attribution such as “Data provided by Assymetrix” unless waived in writing.

Reasonable operational caching is generally capped at 30 days unless the tier says otherwise. Academic/non-commercial tiers exclude commercial and trading activity. Bulk exports, where included, are for internal analysis and carry deletion requirements after termination. A subscription does not grant unrestricted redistribution.

A sensible technical evaluation

Use a small sample to verify venue/product identity, timestamp, currency/quantity units, last-trade versus bid/ask semantics and source freshness. A canonical ID does not by itself establish equivalent questions or commercial redistribution permission.

This guide evaluates the public tier and licence documents. No live feed is imported here and no paid latency or reliability benchmark is claimed. The product is relevant when you need an API pipeline, rather than a ready-made tax report or an asserted trading signal.

Budget requests before choosing a paid tier

Polling 20 markets every 60 seconds for eight hours on 22 days needs 211,200 requests if each poll is one request. It exceeds the reviewed 10,000-request Free tier but fits Developer’s 1.5 million monthly allowance; entitlement and peak rate must still fit. Polling the same markets every second uses 12,672,000, above the reviewed Pro allowance. Batch endpoints, retries and pagination can change both calculations.

Estimate a request budget

Versioned API plan observations; checked dates shown per plan. Local arithmetic only; no account connection, recommendation or upload.

Markets and days: whole numbers. Seconds and hours: fractional values allowed within bounds. Daily sessions reset at t=0: poll times 0, interval, … strictly before session end. One request per market per complete sweep; no batching, retries or pagination included. Additional clients share the quota.

211,200 requests from 480 complete polls per market per daily session. Schedule resets at day-start; t=0 is included, session end is excluded. Final sweep window 60.000 seconds. Average active rate 0.333 requests/second; assumed peak 1 requests in one second. Developer meets numerical monthly and rate capacity only. History and endpoint entitlements are a separate gate.

Plan / checkedMonthly requestsRequests per secondQuotaRateHistory / endpoint
Free · 2026-10-2510,0001FailPassHistory requirement fits; endpoint unconfirmed
Developer · 2026-10-251,500,00025PassPassHistory requirement fits; endpoint unconfirmed
Pro · 2026-10-257,500,000100PassPassHistory requirement fits; endpoint unconfirmed

Daily session-start model: reset the schedule each day, poll every market at t=0 and each interval strictly before session end. Overnight time is not prorated. Spread mode queues each sweep before the next poll or session end; its final window can be shorter than the interval, and peak-rate checks use that shortest window; burst mode dispatches the entire sweep at each start. One request per market per sweep; 30/31-day monthly allowance as documented, no batching. Retries, pagination and concurrent clients add requests. Numerical capacity alone does not establish endpoint/history entitlement. A capacity pass is not a recommendation or verification of data rights.
