Calculate a settlement scenario

Standard $1/zero settlement. Manual mode preserves your quoted fee when price/count changes: update it yourself. Estimate mode recalculates. The formula reference is never added twice. No order is created.

What the calculator includes

Stake = contract count × price in dollars. Total outlay = stake + quoted entry fee + other costs. At a standard $1 winning settlement, gross payout = count; profit = payout − total outlay. On a zero settlement, loss = total outlay.

The raw reference uses 0.07 × count × price × (1 − price) × multiplier. Actual fee collection also depends on six-decimal model rounding, direct-member ($0.0001) or non-direct/FCM ($0.01) balance precision and the per-order rounding accumulator. It is not added automatically: enter your account’s quoted fee, particularly for multiple fills, maker cases, non-standard markets or a broker schedule.

Standard binary contract: pay stake and fees, then win gross payoff or lose outlay.

A $50 stake example

For 100 contracts at 50¢, quoted entry fee $1.75 and no other charges, total outlay is $51.75. A $100 winning settlement gives $48.25 net profit; a zero settlement loses $51.75. If you add a $2 funding cost, those become $46.25 and −$53.75.

This calculator assumes holding a standard $1/zero contract to settlement. It does not estimate an early sale price, a special settlement, rebates or future funding costs. Include costs you actually expect and do not count the same fee twice.

Entry price and economic break-even are different

For 100 contracts at 50¢ plus a $1.75 entry fee, the stake is $50, outlay $51.75, winning gross payout $100, net win $48.25 and loss $51.75. Economic break-even is 51.75%, not 50%. If total costs exceed the winning payout, even a win cannot recover the outlay; break-even can exceed 100%.

Manual mode preserves the entered quote. Estimate mode is a single-fill, general-schedule illustration with explicit balance precision and no previous rounding accumulator; it cannot reproduce every market, partial-fill or broker-specific charge.
